Objectives:

  1. Outline the CDC's Nurse Triage Line (NTL) Project
  2. Review how the NTL Project seeks to improve access to antiviral medications to ill persons during an influenza pandemic
  3. Express the results of a simulation exercise to assess the feasibility and acceptability of a poison control center providing triage during a pandemic influenza scenario
  4. Describe how a poison center and 2-1-1 center cancorrdinated services to provide information and triage during a simulated pandemic exercise
  5. Interpret the results of a Washington state stakeholder meeting that addressed the use of poison control centers providing triage during a pandemic and their integration with public health, 2-1-1 call centers, and other community stakeholders
  6. Debate the opportunities and challenges identified amongst stakeholders
  7. Interpret the results of a Northern New England tri-state community stakeholder meeting that addressed the use of poison control centers providing triage during a pandemic and their integration with public health, 2-1-1 call centers, and other community stakeholders
  8. Debate the opportunities and challenges identified amongst stakeholders
